10 શહેરોમાં હેલિકોપ્ટર સેવા શરૂ થશે : કેન્દ્રીય ઉડ્ડયન મંત્રી જ્યોતિરાદિત્ય સિંધિયા
કેન્દ્રીય ઉડ્ડયન મંત્રી જ્યોતિરાદિત્ય સિંધિયાએ ઉત્તરાખંડમાં મળેલી હેલી સમિટમાં નવી હેલિકોપ્ટર નીતિ જાહેર કરી છે. આ નવી પોલિસીમાં ભારતના 10 શહેરોમાં 82 રૂટ પર હેલિકોપ્ટર કોરીડોર વિકસિત કરવાનું આયોજન રજૂ કરાયું છે. જેમાં ગુજરાતમાં અમદાવાદ- ગાંધીનગર વચ્ચે હેલિકોપ્ટર સેવા શરૂ કરવાની જાહેરાત થઈ છે.
એક્સપ્રેસ-વે પર હેલિપેડ્સ બનશે :
દિલ્હી- મુંબઈ એક્સપ્રેસ-વે, અંબાલા- કોટપુલી અને અંબાલા- ભટિંડા- જામનગર એક્સપ્રેસ-વેનો સમાવાશે થાય છે. આ ત્રણેય એક્સપ્રેસ-વે ઉપર તૈયાર થનારા હેલિપેડનો ઉપયોગ મેડિકલ ઈમરજન્સીની સ્થિતિમાં તેમજ અકસ્માત સમયે પીડિતોને હેલિકોપ્ટરની મદદથી હોસ્પિટલમાં પહોંચાડવા માટે થશે.

આ વર્ષે કોવિડ-19ની બીજી લહેર વખતે એપ્રિલ-મે મહિનામાં કોરોનાગ્રસ્ત દર્દીઓને સારવાર માટે ગુજરાતમાં એર એમ્બ્યુલન્સની અત્યંત આવશ્યકતા ઉભી થઈ હતી.રાજકોટમાંથી 15 દર્દીઓને એર એમ્બ્યુલન્સ મારફતે અન્ય રાજ્યોમાં શિફ્ટ કરાયા હતા. આવા સમયે મેડિકલ ઈમરજન્સીની સ્થિતિમાં તેમજ અકસ્માત સમયે પીડિતોને હેલિકોપ્ટરની મદદથી હોસ્પિટલમાં પહોંચાડવા માટે થશે.

Union Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has announced a new helicopter policy at the Haley Summit in Uttarakhand. The new policy envisages developing helicopter corridors on 82 routes in 10 cities of India, announcing the launch of a helicopter service between Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar in Gujarat.
Helipads will be built on expressway:
The Delhi-MumbaiExpressway, Ambala-Kotpuli and Ambala-Bhatinda-Jamnagar Expressways will be covered. The helipad slated to be constructed on all the three expressways will be used to transport the victims to the hospital with the help of helicopters in case of medical emergency as well as in case of accidents.

During the second wave ofCovid-19this year, an air ambulance was in dire need inGujarat in April-May for treatment of corona-infested patients. 15 patients from Rajkot were shifted by air ambulance to other states. At such times, in case of medical emergency as well as in case of accidents, the victims will be rushed to the hospital with the help of helicopters.
