રાજકોટમાં ગત રાત્રી ના વીજળીના કડાકા સાથે મેઘ તાંડવ. એક ધારા ચાર કલાક સુધી સતત વીજળીના કડાકા સાથે સવાર સુધીમાં શહેરમાં ચાર ઈંચથી વધુ વરસાદ વરસી ગયો હતો. નીચાણવાળા વિસ્તારોમાં ગોઠણડુબ પાણી ભરાયા હતા. ફાયર બ્રિગેડની પાંચ ટીમો શહેરના અલગ અલગ વિસ્તારોમાં આખી રાત દોડતી રહી હતી. જંગલેશ્ર્વર વિસ્તારમાંથી 125 લોકોનું સલામત સ્થળે સ્થળાંતર કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું. સવારે 4 વાગ્યે મેઘાએ વિરામ લઈ લેતા તંત્ર સાથે લોકોએ પણ હાશકારો અનુભવ્યો હતો. આજે પણ રાજકોટમાં રેડ એલર્ટ આપવામાં આવ્યું હોય તંત્ર સાબદુ થઈ ગયું છે
આજી ડેમ ઓવરફલો થઈ ચૂક્યો છે. આવામાં ગઈકાલે રાત્રે પડેલા ચાર ઈંચ વરસાદના કારણે ડેમ સતત ઓવરફલો ચાલુ રહેતા શહેરના મધ્યમાંથી પસાર થતી આજી નદીમાં ઘોડાપુર આવ્યા હતા. ફાયર બ્રિગેડની પાંચ ટીમો જંગલેશ્ર્વર, ચુનારાવાડ ચોક, ભગવતી પરા, રૂખડીયાપરા સહિતના વિસ્તારોમાં તૈનાત કરી દેવામાં આવી હતી. નદીના પટમાં લોકોને અવર-જવર ન કરવા સતત સુચનાઓ આપવામાં આવી હતી. પાણી ભરાવાના કારણે જંગલેશ્ર્વર વિસ્તારમાં 125 લોકોનું કોર્પોરેશનની શાળા નંબર-70માં સ્થળાંતર કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું. આજે પણ ભારે વરસાદની આગાહી આપવામાં આવી હોય તંત્ર સાબદુ થઈ ગયું છે.

Due to waterlogging, 125 people were shifted to the Corporation’s School No.70in Jungleeshwar area. Even today, the system has become better with heavyrains predicted.
